A TAD is a mini titanium screw developed for orthodontics to assist in the movement of teeth in a most controlled and predictable way. The recent advent use of TADs has been revolutionary in the orthodontic field in that TADs provide Dr. DiGiovanni with the ability to accomplish orthodontic feats such as non-surgical bite correction (eliminate some jaw surgery cases); decrease in gum tissue display when smiling (gummy smile); and several other treatments never before possible without TADs in our armamentarium.
